The Ask

Alliance Pest Solutions, a trusted local pest control company, wanted to increase their visibility on social media and stand out among local competitors. Their previous marketing attempts lacked consistency and messaging, so I stepped in to create their first piece of professionally produced content. I saw this as an opportunity to both elevate their brand and strengthen my own videography and editing skills for local business campaigns.

The Development

I studied hours of TikTok content, focusing on what small and local businesses were doing well in short-form video marketing. I avoided analyzing large brands like Orkin or Terminix, knowing their brand strength allows for less engaging content. My goal was to capture something eye-catching and relatable, built for mobile-first viewing at a 9:16 aspect ratio. I gathered inspiration from real, grassroots creators to understand what truly worked.

The Design

I took a documentary-style approach, shadowing the owner during actual service calls. While carefully respecting customer privacy. The vision was to show a real, unfiltered “day in the life” from a customer’s perspective. The editing process was seamless thanks to intentional storyboarding. I paired the footage with a fast-paced instrumental and a professional voiceover, steering away from dull, real-time audio. The video used a cinematic color tone and clean editing style, helping it feel elevated and modern.

The Takeaway

The final content sets a new standard for Alliance Pest Solutions, bringing clarity and professionalism to a brand that previously lacked cohesion. While the company didn’t have a strong existing visual identity, this project gave them one. The content immediately made them feel like a more valid competitor in the local space. With over 100 five-star reviews on Google, they now have the video content to match. This work will not only drive engagement but also convert viewers into future clients.
